Peter Bentley, Director
Peter trained as a Fitter and Turner and a Production Engineer before
teaching engineering at Swinburne TAFE College.
In the mid 80s he worked as a Youth Minister in Darwin with the Anglicans, and then entered Theological training in Melbourne.
He started Baptist ministry in 1992 at West Preston Baptist and moved to Ashburton in 1996 to take on the position of Senior Pastor.
In March 2003 he was appointed as the Director of WellSpring Spirituality Centre, a ministry of Ashburton Baptist Church. (The sermon "What Matters Here" from Peter's induction is available for downloading as a PDF file [20kb])
Peter is a trained Spiritual Director and is presently studying for his Masters of Arts in Spiritual Direction.
