How do I become a Spiritual Companion (Director)?

You have come to a good place if you want to embark on the journey inward and discover the art of spiritual companioning.

WellSpring offers a comprehensive training program for those who wish to become Spiritual Companions.

Program 

Three core years:  

  • intensives Thursday 14th - Saturday 16th March; Thursday 18th to Saturday 20th July and Friday 25th to Saturday 26th October;

  • 20 on line weekly of group work including peer group supervision and 1:1 supervision, starting Monday 18th March with breaks in line with semester breaks;

  • practice seeing people for spiritual companioning; and

  • write reflections, journals, book reviews, verbatim reports and in third year do a major research project on a topic you are passionate about. 

Fourth graduate year: 

  • 8 sessions 1:1 supervision 

  • 8 sessions peer group supervision

  • Membership activities with WellSpring community 

Location 

  • Intensive held at the beautiful surrounds of the WellSpring Centre in Ashburton, Melbourne. 

  • Weekly group work and supervision online or in person if preferred.

 

The training is offered through Whitley College, a college of the University of Divinity.
