Facilitator: Emeritus Professor David Tacey

These sessions bring a historical approach to the emergence of contemporary spiritualities including those of Evelyn Underhill, Simone Weil and Thomas Merton. We will consider distinctive themes and types of spirituality, its relationship to mysticism, the impact of secularisation, the impact of East on the West, influences of feminism and therapy on holistic spiritualities, and the contemporary turn to practice.
