Details of research:
9.30–10.45am Joanne Barrett
Diverse Journeys with Unlikely Pilgrims
The essay is an exploration of diversity: the diversity of my own formation and its connection to my travelling pilgrimage, the diversity of pilgrims attracted to companioning during my study and the diversity of interactions and encounters in and outside of companioning sessions.
11.15–12.30pm Kathryn Holewa
The Good Samaritan: A Paradigm for Spiritual Companioning
The premise for my research is that this Gospel passage reflects spiritual companioning when explored under the lens of theological reflection and experiential learnings along the way. It explores the themes of journeying and compassion as major themes.
1.30–2.45pm Deon S. Oliver
Spiritual Consolation in Spiritual Companioning
This research explores the way in which Ignatian Spirituality and particularly how consolation as found in the Examen and the four Weeks of the Spiritual Exercises informs my spiritual companioning toward individual and community restoration.
3.15–4.30pm Shanda Sebbage
Breath: Journeying Inwards
I invite you to join me on my 'breath' journey. Together we will consider how our breath is the essence of presence, awareness and life. I will also share how my own breathwork journey has shaped my spiritual companioning practice as a pilgrim and guide.
