About Russell McGregor
Russell McGregor is a globally renowned violinist and conductor. As concertmaster of the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra and Stehgeiger of the Johann Strauss Ensemble, he is known for his charismatic leadership and deeply expressive performances.
Playing his treasured 300-year-old, 1697 Carlo Giuseppe Testore violin, Russell brings to WellSpring the elegance and virtuosity that have captivated audiences across Europe’s grandest concert halls, and stages in the UAE, Japan, Singapore, USA and Australia. He continues to share the timeless spirit of Viennese music with the world. Melbourne-born and Vienna-based, Russell has shared the stage with musical greats including Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.
