There are many ways in which you can contribute to WellSpring as a volunteer:
Spiritual Companioning student support
Be a pilgrim for a student studying Art of Spiritual Companioning
During their training in spiritual companioning, students are required to meet a number of pilgrims. This is an important part of their formation and learning. For some students, their broader community may not be familiar with spiritual companioning, so if you can be a pilgrim, it is a valuable gift to the student.
To explore this possibility, please contact our Program Director, Anne Pate, who will match you with a student.
Facilitating prayers, quiet days and professional development
Come share your experience and wisdom with the community and beyond - contact Kathy.
WellSpring Newsletter
Our newsletter is the voice of WellSpring, connecting our community and informing them of upcoming activities and opportunities.
We are currently seeking a volunteer Editor(s), to plan and co-ordinate newsletter content, artwork and design for 2024, also e-distribution to the WellSpring community (through MailChimp). If you have any of these skills, and are interested in assisting with production of the newsletter, please contact Kathy.
Website
Are you at ease in the digital world? Our website is dynamic, and in constant need of updating and maintaining. Add your unique artistic perspective to refresh the images and look of the WellSpring website; or help with creating helpful content, updating events; or maintaining links with our partners such as Ashburton Baptist Church and Whitley College. Please contact Kathy, if you are interested in contributing to our website.
Membership Coordinator
We need help to manage the annual renewal process, and to facilitate engagement among WellSpring members. If you have skills and ideas in this area, please contact Kathy.
Hospitality
WellSpring needs someone at the front office for part of each weekday to welcome visitors and to take phone calls, and our special events always call for extra people to help prepare beforehand, and organise details on the day. If hospitality is your calling, please contact us to find out how you can help.
Morning tea during intensives
Could you assist with set up and serving of morning tea during the Art of Spiritual Companion Courses. If you can help, please contact Kathy.
WellSpring Library
If you love books and are keen to see more of the WellSpring community reading the many books in the library, please contact us with your ideas. Our honorary Librarian is ready to hand over this role to someone else. Contact her to find out more.
