Create a Legacy of Hope

Consider a bequest to The WellSpring Centre

Why leave a bequest in your Will?

Our Will reflects what has been most important to us in life, and provides the opportunity to ensure that our most cherished values live on.

A gift in your Will to support WellSpring's future ministry will help ensure our long-term, transformative work to companion people in their diverse responses to the Divine in all of life. Your gift will support our ongoing capacity to invite others towards a deeper understanding of God’s presence in everyday life; provide pathways for spiritual discernment and formation; encourage reflective engagement in justice, peace, interfaith understanding, Indigenous reconciliation, and care for creation; and create a safe, hospitable, sustainable and prophetic community. Join us in our vision of a world where all people live out their unique part in God’s great dream of the reconciling of all creation. Where lives are transformed through a deepening sense of God’s love for the world. Where all may participate in the Divine movement toward healing, peace, justice and freedom for all.

Let your gift be your blessing to those who follow us.

Your Gift, Your Choice

You can choose how you would like to leave your gift, including:

A residual gift.

This is the simplest way to support WellSpring’s ministry into the future. After providing for your loved ones and paying all debts, you can leave the remainder of your estate (or a percentage of the remainder) to WellSpring. This type of gift has the advantage of guarding against the effects of inflation.

A cash gift.

You can leave a specified dollar amount – but please remember that, over time, the real value of a cash bequest may be reduced because of inflation.

Specific assets.

You can leave property such as real estate, shares or anything of value. WellSpring can also be the sole beneficiary of a life insurance policy.

Once you have decided on the type of gift you would like to make, ask your solicitor to draft the appropriate clause. The following wording may be taken as a guide:

I give [percentage of my residuary estate / dollar amount / specified assets] to Wellspring Centre Incorporated ABN 16 587 973 201 for its general purposes, and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other duly authorised officer shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors.

Always seek independent legal advice when making or changing your Will.

Thank you

When you include WellSpring in your Will, you join a very special community of supporters who embrace WellSpring's long-term vision that all may be blessed by a deepening sense of God's presence in their lives. Thank you.

Blue bird in white circle

WellSpring Centre is an open and inclusive community formed in the Christian tradition, fostering a contemplative awareness of the presence of God and encouraging people to explore what this means in all of life.

From ancient times, the spring has been viewed as a gift, its waters rising mysteriously from the ground and spreading life wherever they flow. The spring is a common picture of God in the world, an enduring symbol of eternal life.

This image is at the heart of WellSpring's ministry: God is the "living water" of life - refreshing, cleansing, life-giving and creative. Established as an initiative of the Ashburton Baptist Church, WellSpring is ecumenical in scope and spirit, and provides a warm welcome to all who wish to come. May you find here a place to rest, reflect and pray amongst friends.
